OOTD: Simple Celine

Top: Taobao
Jacket: Dior replica
Pants: Portmans
Shoes: Magy
Necklace: Lovisa

Just a very simple outfit I wore to go fabric shopping the other day

Got my feedback for one of my classes today, and I did really well :)
Can't wait to go back for second year!

Should find a retail job for these holidays, otherwise I'll just be spending my time at home making clothes for myself haha

Do you guys have anything planned?

OOTD: Drape and black

Dress: Made by yours truly :)
Jacket: Dior replica
Pants: Taobao
Bag: Perfume Inn
Boots: Mollini
Accessories: Taobao and Swatch

Today's outfit featured my latest creation, a really simple drape dress.
Got quite a lot a stares today, maybe because of the drapey-ness or because I was wearing a dress over pants, or even because I wore too much black....anyways fashion is self expression isn't it?

Holidays just started for me apart from a few feedback sessions, but yay I get to sleep in more :3

Have you guys had anyone look at what you were wearing?

And good luck to those with vce and university exams *fighting :)

Stylenanda Haul

Just received my order from Stylenanda today, and thought I'd do a review on the items I got.

As, some of you may know, Stylenanda is like the Korean fashion craze right now, celebrities wear it and everyone is Stylenanda crazy~~

I was looking for jeans and overalls, since the ones in Australia are:
1. Too overpriced  $$$
2. Don't fit me (or they fit in the wrong places)
3. People will know where you got as specific item from

The parcel came quite fast, ordered on the 21/9/13, got them 30/9/13 (took them a few days to collate the items and ship it out via EMS)

nicely packed

Since Asian sizes and clothes fit me like a glove coz im asian duh I knew to some extent that Stylenanda's fit would be perfect for me, so I ordered these few items:

Denim overalls (link)

Size: good, since it's a baggy fit
Price: $47.12USD cheap compared to the ones here which are $69.95+
Quality: Good

8/10

Slim waist jeans (high waisted) (link)

Size: Ah-may-zing, on the stretchy denim/jegging side (size 26)
Price: $39.41 USD on the cheap side for jeans
Quality: Seams are the best, especially the overlocking

9/10

Cream eyeliner (pink) (link)

Colour: Superb! love it! Great for when you wanna add a pop of colour to you eyes
Quality: Has a self sharpening end and only rubs off a bit once applied

10/10

Colour point watch (blue) (link)

Design: really cool with the elongated strap
Quality: great silicon but I wish the watch face was a bit bigger

 9/10

Their shipping price is quite cheap considering how much the Australian shipping price is, and hey, you are getting your items shipped via EMS here with tracking :)

I noticed that my overalls and jeans weren't 'Stylenanda' branded but some other brand, but then again who cares when they fit well LOL

If you spend:
- $0-$100 = $20 shipping
- $101- $200 = $10 shipping
- $201+ = free shipping

I spent just over $100 so I only had to pay $10 for shipping (Y)

They also gave me a little 'thank you gift' which was a shimmery dusty pink nail polish :)

Overall, shopping at Stylenanda was a great experience, I want to put another order in now haha!

Ciao,
Lissy

19 with wild animals

Recently, I turned 19 and only remembered that it was going to be my birthday a week or so before it #ageingproblems
So I didn't have time to plan anything...instead I partied with a few wild party animals.

Mr giraffe, Mrs elephant, Mr tiger, Ms zebra and Mr lion

I made this necklace the night before my birthday as a birthday from myself to myself #foreveralone
Got quite a lot of compliments from this piece, probably because of its uniqueness (probably also another reason why I hardly ever buy necklaces sold here in Australia, because their designs are so.boring.and.every.shop.sells.nearly.the.same.stock)

Btw, I got my inspiration from the dinosaur necklace by Spinns.
I originally wanted to create a dinosaur one but I couldn't find any suitable dinosaurs, there were either too big, too small or soft and squishy...

Hopefully, next year I'll remember when my own birthday is *sigh* and maybe celebrate with my to-be-found dinosaurrrr fwends :3

Bye~

Cat got your ear?

Current favourite earrings featuring the black cat
Again, I got this from Taobao for a really cheap price - here (but they're out of the black)
Go quite a lot of stares and comments the day I wore these :3
Even though I'm not much of a bracelet, rings and necklace girl, I think I'm definitely an earrings girl with a crazy obsession for strange quirky earrings.

Here's the rest of my outfit for that day (I'm not a crazy cat lady):

Jumper: Twotwo
Pants: Taobao
Scarf: Taobao
Earrings: Rowky

'Til next time, bye~
P.S. currently buying bits and pieces for my giveaway, so stay tuned :)

Sunny side up

Melbourne finally decided to show its sunny side, after a few gloomy winter weeks...
And I noticed that the jumper I wore today some how mirrors todays weather.
I know that my jumper is meant to resemble a bunch of daisy flowers, but hey, sunny side up eggs anyone? haha no pun intended

Jumper: Taobao
Pants: Taobao
Watch: Swatch
Scarf: Taobao
Boots (not shown): Mollini

Yeah, pretty much everything I'm wearing is from Taobao haha
Should I do a Taobao haul post?  Let me know below :)

Until my next post,
Lissy x

Bunny ears

I know it's a bit late for Easter and Easter bunnies, but I have bunny ears..
Not those fluffy headband things that you plop on your head to pretend you're a rabbit, instead I have bunnies in my ears literally.

Gotta love these earrings which aren't your everyday ones.  Found these selling at some asian shop in the city, but I'm pretty sure you can find a pair on the good ol' Ebay.

And here's the rest of my outfit for that day:

Coat - Poone
Jumper - WC
Jeans - Uniqlo
Platform sneakers - Maxstar
Scarf - made by yours truly

These few weeks have been so busy for me, with assessment after assessment, so I'm sorry if I don't update that often

Anyways here's a song that I've been playing on repeat since forever~

Japan: Day 9 - Tokyo (Shibuya) *pic heavy*

Finally arrived in Tokyo, the prefecture with the best shopping places ever! Ahh I just wanna go back there, okay a bit off track.. but after we arrived in Tokyo after our night bus ride (at around 6-7am) even though I was still half asleep and the cold weather made me even sleepier, the thought that I was in shopping-paradise woke me up instantly.  After checking into our hotel, mum and I took the train to Shibuya from Shinjuku and started our first day of shopping in Tokyo.

Hachi decorated for new years
First stop, le famous Mr Hachi/Hachiko (statue) which is right in front of Shibuya station!  Such a loyal beautiful akita-inu, you can read more about how he became a famous doggy from being tremendously loyal to his owner (even many years after his owner's death too) here.  There was even a movie made about Hachi called 'A Dog's Tale' if any of you are interested.
Shibuya 109!
The building of all building for girls, the countless hours I spent inside this wonderful 9 storey building filled with your popular gyaru brands each with their brands individual style.  They also have building for guys called 109-mens where all the fashionable guys go which is a street or so away.

waiting for 109 to open
Sadly no pictures are allowed inside here like many other stores, and I didn't want to be sneaky or get told off with some Japanese phrase which I won't be able to understand, so no pictures of the wonderful stores inside, sorry.

A sneaky picture of Double C / WC/ Wakatsuki Chinatsu, a better picture will come but mr policeman didn't look too happy when I took this picture :S

The famous Shibuya scramble

By noon they had changed the poster on Shibuya 109 from after school advertising 109's one week bargain to Dollywink with Tsu-chan and her new false eyelashes

Discovered my love for ramen in Japan, no idea what makes them so delicious, maybe the miso soup accompanied with the ramen or the ume/pickle or the mini side dishes that came with ramens (mostly ramen sets) but I'm pretty sure I increased my eating speed from the tortoise speed which I usually am.  Oh ramen please appear in front of my eyes now *grumbles*

Now onto my haul for the day:
WC gets, kuma-tan you so cute ^^

everything was 50% of (I think) at the Tralala store which also sold Liz Lisa Doll
These Liz Lisa items were an impulse buy because they were having some discount campaign, so if I can remember each piece was reduced to around 4500yen.
Even though I'm no longer really into the girly style, mum persuaded me to, still haven't worn the dress or jumper out, but the jacket it now one of my to-go casual jackets since it's so soft and warm along with 'Liz Lisa' printed on the back.

I'll finish off with a night shot of Shinjuku where we stayed

じゃまた~

Walking Giant

Currently a walking giant with my new shoes - platform sneakers; not the type of sneakers with a heel, but converse-like shoes with a platform sole.  Standing at 170cm with these on I feel super tall, hence the reason why mum called me a 豆芽菜 (soybean shoot) aka skinny stick...
Back to the topic, I was inspired by Juria a famous Harajuku girl who's famous for her lavender-coloured hair and use of tattoo tights in her stylish outfits, below is the picture of her with platform sneakers that caught my eye.
Juria

Another Harajuku girl ft. platform sneakers

I ordered my pair from Ebay for around $35, and they came in around two weeks from China.  The quality of these platform sneakers is quite good, from comfort to the materials used I'm very pleased, however I will have to somehow overcome the fact of walking in these sneakers which are slightly harder to walk in than normal shoes due to their height.  I give these a rating of 4/5, only if the sole had the density and rubbery texture like the original Converse chucks then I would've given it an extra mark, but I'm still very happy with these awesome shoes..now I think I have around 20 pairs of shoes, should stop buying shoes (but that's not possible haha)
actual product

Had quite a lot of fun walking around the house in these yesterday, can't wait to pull off a new look with these babies featuring my tattoo tights.  I think my fashion sense is becoming more mature now, so I should get rid of the florals in my wardrobe but but, they're so pretty on the other hand argh I hate dilemmas like this, 'to be or not to be'..
Only around 20 days of high school left until I graduate!  Just thinking about university sounds scary, but I've also heard that it's heaps better than school as there's more freedom, well I have to wait and see.

Bye,
Lissy

Review: Romwe Single Pocket Light Green Shirt

Received my first purchase from Romwe the other day, Romwe is a China-based online store that sells clothings, shoes and accessories, and I quite well known among fashionista's for their:
- large range of styles
- cheap price
- range of sizing
- free shipping with no minimum purchase
- 20% off coupon for your first purchase!

Now onto what I got from Romwe.  I'd had my eyes on this shirt for quite a while, but they only had size large left, so I browsed other online stores like Sheinside and Asos for a similar shirt, but was unsuccessful.  Luckly, when I was browsing Romwe a few days later they had it back in stock! So I chose my size, clicked 'add to bag' and paid right away!

Single Pocket Light Green Shirt $34.99USD here
Stock photos:

Actual item:
Came nicely in a zip lock bag with information about returns

love the details - mother of pearl-like buttons and white edging

I'm really pleased with the quality and price of this shirt (bought it for only $27.99 after my 20% off coupon), so I'll continue to order from them in the future.  I also received it earlier than expected because they stated that delivering to Australia would take 5-15 days, yet it only took a week to arrive, great service.

Haven't worn this shirt out yet, but I will once spring's around the corner.  If you have time, I do recommend you check out Romwe, and you'll probably spend a few hours on it like I first did, and don't forget your 20% off coupon :)

Toodles,
Lissy
